Ian Burchnall names Notts County team to face Aldershot

Notts County head coach Ian Burchnall made three changes to his starting line-up as the Magpies chased victory over Aldershot at Meadow Lane.

Captain Michael Doyle was ruled out through a calf injury which he sustained at the weekend, while Connell Rawlinson, arguably Notts' player of the season, was dropped to the substitutes' bench.

Ruben Rodrigues also lost his place in the starting 11 as Ben Turner, Elisha Sam and Jim O'Brien all came back into the side.

Otherwise, the team was the same as the one which lost to Hornchurch at the weekend in the FA Trophy semi-final which Notts lost in a penalty shootout.

In goal was Sam Slocombe behind the back four of Dion Kelly-Evans, Mark Ellis, Turner and Jordan Barnett.

In midfield, Jake Reeves partnered O'Brien with the pair midfield responsibilities.

On the flanks were Enzio Boldewijn and Calvin Miller with the pair expected to play as inverted wingers.

Up front, Sam, who scored when he came off the bench at the weekend, partnered Kyle Wootton in attack.

Notts: Slocombe, Kelly-Evans, Ellis, Turner, Barnett; Miller, O'Brien, Reeves, Boldewijn; Sam and Wootton.

Subs: Knowles, Rodrigues, Rawlinson, Effiong, Chicksen
