Iain Lee is known for being outspoken and today he seemed to surpass himself after revealing three names that he says are taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The Talk Radio host appeared on Good Morning Britain as today’s guest entertainment reporter when he name dropped the contestants.
He hinted that Sam Allardyce, Anneka Rice and Jamie Laing will be the first three names to be announced for Strictly Come Dancing 2019.
The reveal was supposed to happen on tonight’s BBC The One Show - and a few viewers were not impressed with his spoiler.
He told host Ben Shephard: “They’re going to announce the first three contestants tonight on.. There’s a programme called The One Show or something? I’m surprised it’s still going.
"It’s supposed to be Sam Allardyce, Anneka Rice and Jamie Laing.
When Ben reiterated that it was supposed to happen later but he had already announced it, Iain shrugged: “Sorry One Show. Sorry Alex Jones.”
When host Kate Garraway asked Ben whether his pal Big Sam has a quick step in him, he replied: “Undoubtedly.”
While Iain and the GMB panel were delighted with their apparent spoiler, some viewers were less than impressed.
One viewer tweeted: “I'm really not impressed that your Strictly reveal tonight has been completely ruined by Iain Lee after he announce it on @gmb today. Totally spoilt what was going to a great evening watching your show. I'm so sorry for you.”
A second said: “Typical of GMB !!!.”
Other rumoured contestants for this year’s Strictly include Michelle Visage, Catherine Tyldesley and Chris Evans.
