IAF jawan hangs self at his house in Jaisalmer

JAISALMER: An Indian Air Force jawan deployed at Jaisalmer air force station hanged himself on Saturday night at his rented house in Gandhi colony. Police found a suicide note from the spot which stated that he was committing suicide on his own wish.

According to Kotwali SHO, Rohit Kumar (31), a resident of Baraut village in Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh was working at the Jaisalmer air force station. Kumar along with his wife and 6-year old son stayed at a rented house.

It was Kumar’s wife who saw Kumar hanging from a fan in another room at their house. He was declared dead at the air force hospital.

City Kotwali SHO Girdhar Singh said his family was informed after which on Sunday Kumar’s brother reached Jaisalmer. His body was handed over to the family after post mortem. Police are investigating the case. Though in the suicide note it was written he committed suicide on his own will, the deceased was tense due to domestic issues and this could be the reason of suicide, said Singh.
