Former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson has claimed that Ederson edges Alisson as the best goalkeeper in the Premier League.
The Brazilian duo have been considered two of the best in the business since their arrivals in the English top-flight having made major impacts on their respective clubs.
Another goalkeeper who is now being spoken about as an equal to Liverpool No 1 Alisson and City star Ederson is Edouard Mendy, whose impressive performances helped Chelsea to Champions League success last season.
Johnson believes there is little to separate the formidable trio, but is of the view that Ederson is just out in front due to his superior ball-playing skills.

"It’s a tough one," the ex-Liverpool right-back told bettingodds.com when comparing the keepers.
On Mendy, he added: "I’d say he’s third behind Alisson and Ederson, but that isn’t a negative to Mendy as it’s just a case of the other two being so good.
"I would say that Ederson is the best because of how good he is with his feet and how sometimes he acts like another defender and allows others to stand in more attacking positions.”
It was Ederson who kept the most clean sheets in the Premier League last season (19), with Mendy ranked in second place (16)
Alisson is currently leading the way this campaign with nine clean sheets, but is being closely followed in the race for the Golden Glove by both Ederson (8) and Mendy (7).
