So far Kanye West has rushed the stage twice at music awards. The first time it was to interrupt a teenager, the second time his victim was Beck, hardly one of music’s most imposing figures. West may have reconsidered if he’d spoiled a 6ft 4in NFL player’s party.
That’s what the New England Patriots Brandon Browner thinks anyway after Kanye’s performance at Sunday’s Grammys, when he approached the stage after Beck had won album of the year. Browner, who at 221lbs is one of the most imposing cornerbacks in the league, said West would have been “rapping thru the wire” if he had been in Beck’s position. That was a reference to West’s song Through The Wire, about an accident that left the rapper with a wired jaw.
Peep who he tried Beck and Taylor Swift. Real tough guy. If only I could've been Beck for one night. Kanye would be rapping thru the wire

After the Grammys ceremony West said Beck should give his album of the year awards to Beyoncé because he needed “to respect the artistry”. Browner, though, is having none of it: “KANYE WEST is a sucka! Everybody don’t listen to Beyoncé. Second time he tried to steal somebody shine. First time it was a 15 yr old girl [Taylor Swift was 19 when West interrupted her at the VMAs],” Browner wrote on Twitter. “Kanye try and play that I’m weird because of my genius. Non of the greats pull that stupid ish. Meaning Marley, Mike Jack, Tupac, Jayz etc.”
Browner wasn’t finished there though. He also started to refer as West as SpongeBob SquarePants: “Lastly on this sponge bob square pants(Kanye). Read that cbs article I retweeted. Beck played the instruments and sang.”

Browner, perhaps wanting to avoid the wrath of West and Beyoncé finished by clarifying his opinions: “Beyoncé the truth tho! Seriously I mean that. This is not about her,” he tweeted.
