Stiliyan Petrov reckons Arne Engels would be justified in being frustrated at being dropped for the Europa League match against Braga.
The midfielder was replaced by Paulo Bernardo as Brendan Rodgers switched up his team selection for the league phase contest.
Celtic hero Petrov was surprised to see Bernardo take Engels' place in the starting XI and admitted he would be upset if he had found himself in that situation.
"Brendan Rodgers said he was happy with the performance against Hibernian, he was happy with the intensity, and happy with the chances," said Petrov on TNT Sports.
"So if I am Engels, I would be screaming, I would be so frustrated about not playing.
"But sometimes when you play in a team, you have to fight for your place.

"With Bernardo, I am surprised he has come in as well, but maybe understanding the league, understanding the players, being Portuguese he knows how they think.
"I would still think Engels would have been the first pick ahead of Bernardo, but let's see if that is the right choice."
"He will have played with and against those players," said Rodgers on TNT of Bernardo starting against Braga.
"He has probably not had the opportunities this season that he would have liked.
"Unfortunately for Paulo, last year he was out injured quite a bit.
"But he played some game time towards the end of the season.
"He has been working really hard to get himself up to a good level, has made an impact when he has come into games, and tonight is a nice opportunity for him against a team from his home country."
