"Thank you to everyone at the club who I have worked with over the last 2 years - through this experience I have grown not only as a player but a person.

"It’s been a privilege to share a dressing room with the boys - I’ve made fantastic friends and memories, but now is time to move on to the next step.

"All the best for the future!"

After his unveiling, James spoke to Sky Sports News to reveal he cant' wait to get started and play in front of his new supporters at Elland Road.

After all, this is a move two and a half years in the making.

"It feels great to get it over the line and I can now move forward," James said.

"It’s been a whirlwind for me, it’s been a crazy time but I’m here now. I’m grateful for the club for being interested in me and believing in me, which is proven by what they did two and a half years ago. I’m happy to be here now and playing in front of these fans."
