'I wasn't allowed into my college gym as it seems my H&M top was too sexual'

A US college student who was dress-coded at her campus gym for wearing a "tank top" has showed off the outfit in question on TikTok, leaving viewers confused.

Allison Gallup, who often posts videos about her life as a college student in Utah, was left baffled when she got turned away at her gym for wearing a white tee.

Taking to TikTok, Allison uploaded a video showing what looks like a slightly cropped white t-shirt with a unicorn print on it and simple black leggings, with the caption: "Just got dress coded at my campus gym for wearing a 'tank top'".

The digital content creator, who previously went to college in Hawaii, added: "My unicorn graphic tee was a little too sexual, I guess", while shrugging in confusion.

The college student also joked: "So grateful that we have a dress code to help me keep virtue."

Viewers flocked to the comment section to express their confusion after expecting to see the woman in a scantily-clad outfit.

Instead, the gym goer can be seen in a casual look for the gym – a relaxed t-shirt which she bought from H&M, and back gym leggings.

One viewer questioned the dress code, asking: "Dude what. Are guys also not allowed to wear shirts like that?"

Alison replied: "I mean I thought we were until [sic] this happened".

Other followers were also shocked that the college student hadn't been allowed to wear the outfit in the gym.

One person wrote: "No wayyy," while another simply said: "What."

A third said: "No way they'd approve of what girls at my school gym wear."

Another jokingly said: "Allison I can't believe you. That's really immodest, how dare you show your upper arm."

The exact dress code of the campus gym is unclear.
