On the Manchester social scene, singer-songwriter Jsky is known for his outlandish and eye-catching array of outfits - but now he's being recognised in the street after stripping off nude for the Channel Four show Naked Beach.
Jsky - real name Jason Warner - is one of the eight body confident hosts in the buff helping three willing participants to gain the confidence to strip off while staying in a stunning Greek retreat.
But the fashionista from Bury says he was once at the brunt of cruel comments about his appearance that could have shattered his confidence.
"When I was growing up I was called ugly. I was going to boyband auditions and told I didn't fit in and I was told I needed to eat more," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"But then I stopped believing those comments and I got more compliments about the way I looked, and my confidence grew."
Jsky has been delighted to the response to the new show, which has been dubbed the 'antidote' to ITV2 dating show Love Island, after secretly spending five weeks filming last year.

"It's a secret I've sat on for a year," he said.
"When you think about body confidence you don't really think of a skinny, black, gay guy but I was thrilled to be chosen to help.
"I had done pilot shows for Channel Four and when Naked Beach was commissioned Channel Four recommended me.
"I fully accepted the responsibility that comes with it and it felt like a dream opportunity.
"If I'm lending my naked body to teach people to love themselves then why not?
"We're not nudists, we're just normal people who others can relate to."
Jsky released his 'self-love anthem' Myself on my own label WorldOfJsky.Com Records last year, which was played by BBC Introducing, a platform for new talent, and BBC Radio Manchester and he recently devoted his 32nd birthday party this month to become 'a celebration of self love'' at Impossible bar in Manchester.
On Naked Beach the hosts help the struggling visitors come to terms with their shape and realise that there is nothing wrong with the way they look.
By the end of the first show each of the guests felt confident enough to strip off on the beach in front of the proud hosts - and Jsky says the concept has given the hosts a boost too.
"We're hosts with body confidence and now our confidence is even higher.

"I came back and I wouldn't usually walk around my flat in the nude, but I was walking around naked a lot more."
Naked Beach is screened at 8pm on Thursdays on Channel Four.
