'I want this' - Arsenal fans all say the same thing as Thierry Henry delivers takeover update

Arsenal continued their impressive form in the Premier League on Sunday with a dominant display against Tottenham, a 3-1 win easing the pressure on Mikel Arteta significantly.

First-half goals from Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka put the Gunners in complete control at the Emirates and while a late strike from Son Heung-min got a few nerves jangling, the result was never really in doubt.

But one sighting off the field got fans talking too. Club legend Thierry Henry was sat in the stands alongside Spotify CEO Daniel EK, a man who is thought to be interested in purchasing the club from the Kroenkes.

Ek previously submitted an offer, shortly after the Super League debacle, along with the support of a host of Arsenal icons, including Henry. The offer was rejected, however, with Stan Kroenke insisting that they had no interest in selling.

On Monday Night Football, however, Henry elaborated on the current situation with the Frenchman adamant that interest from the Swedish billionaire would not be going away any time soon.

"To be able to get there [a successful bid] you need to have someone to respond on the other side," Henry said.

"It didn’t happen yet but we, he, is here to stay. So let’s see what going to happen but for the moment we obviously enjoyed the win. I think it’s going to be long, how long it’s going to be? I don’t actually know but we’re here to say."

Unsurprisingly it was a comment that got plenty of fans talking on Twitter. Here is what they had to say.

@SteveTay20 said: "Music to my ears."

@Alexjiojioras said: "The King coming back to save us."

@Samueldrei said: "I don’t really care about it being long I just hope they dont lose interest and back out after its been way too long."
