'I want my life back': Nikki Grahame's heartbreaking message on This Morning in vowing to beat anorexia

Nikki Grahame has vowed to beat anorexia in her first words to fans since a GoFundMe page was set up to help with treatment.

The Big Brother star's mum, Sue, made an appearance on Tuesday's This Morning to share her message with ITV viewers.

The 38-year-old, who has battled with an eating disorder since the age of seven, is currently 'the worst' friends and family have seen her, reports OK!

But the reality star has now said she 'wants to get her life back'.

Sue explained that lockdown had taken its toll on her daughter, and when gyms closed, it was "quite a worry".

Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, she said: "The isolation, it’s been really hard for her, really hard.

"She felt very cut off and spending too much time on her own with not enough to think about other than food and that took a grip as well."

It comes after friends and fans of Nikki managed to raise £65,000 to ensure she can get help with her condition.

Sue shared how grateful Nikki is for the support.

"I spoke to Nikki this morning and she said, 'Mum, please stress how overwhelmed I am at people's kindness towards me. I just don't get it, but I am so grateful. Also tell everybody that I'm going to try my level best this time to beat this. I want to get my life back'."

Sue also spoke of the upsetting time when Nikki was in hospital with her eating disorder at the age of just nine.

Asked by Phil what she said to her at that moment, Sue said her daughter was "semi-conscious", but whispered to her: "C'mon Nikki, please. I promise you that there is a life out there and we will make up for all of this time that we’ve lost."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
