I visited The Vintage Store in Liverpool and found £25 Levi's jeans and more

A trip to town to spruce up the wardrobe has become a bit of an expensive game, with many of us turning to shops like The Vintage store for some second hand goodies.

I've known about the new store for a good while now since it opened in May but haven't had the chance to pop in and I was really looking forward to finding some bargains. Described as the ‘UK’s largest retailer of vintage clothing’, The Vintage Store already has shops open in Sheffield, Hull, York, Newcastle and Birmingham.

It even has its own Vintage Levis Store inside, with an array of classic pieces for a fraction of the price. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was the sheer size of this place.

Having known it as Topshop back in the day, I was a bit taken aback by the sheer amount of clothes and accessories on offer - it was pretty impressive. You had all your usual classic vintage tees and sweatshirts, along with bags, jackets and more.

Although The Vintage Store was playing loud music, the shopping experience was nice and chill, something I'm not used to as an avid Primark fan. There was plenty of space to walk around and each piece was separated out evenly and neatly giving you enough space to walk around and mooch.

A few things really stood out to me, especially the big baggy Champion jumpers in bright colours and the insane amount of leather jackets. I'm not talking about flimsy faux leather jackets that crease as soon as you touch them, I'm talking about proper ones!

There was so many high quality real leather jackets priced at around £65 which is a total bargain considering a genuine leather jacket from somewhere like AllSaints would set you back at least £299. Although some of the jackets looked a bit distressed, I think that can really add to the look if that's an aesthetic you like, and I'll definitely be popping back there closer to winter.

The star of the show for me though was the Levi's selection. I managed to find a classic Levi's denim jacket for £42 which would usually cost £120 from Levi's , and it looked in mint condition.

I'd recently visited Cheshire Oaks on the hunt for some Levi's jeans, but was a bit blown away by the price. Let's just say I wish I'd have visited The Vintage Store sooner, because I found a pair of Levi's straight leg regular jeans for £25.

The quality of the jeans looked amazing too and you really couldn't tell at all that they were second hand. I think I'll be visiting this place a lot more for jeans as it gets colder as opposed to more expensive high street stores.

The accessories section had a load of hidden gems too, granted, not everything was completely to my taste, but I managed to find a few big brands including a beige Roberto Cavalli bag for £25.

As someone who's always been intrigued by thrift shopping but never fully taken the plunge, I'm currently kicking myself for not visiting shops like The Vintage Store sooner. There's some real hidden gems and on-trend items available for half the price of something you'd find in a high street store.
