I visited Liverpool ONE's Black Sheep Coffee shop and found my new favourite spot

I absolutely love going out for a coffee.

In my opinion, you can't beat catching up with a friend over a delicious hot drink and a sweet treat in a cosy coffee shop. However, when it comes to coffee, I tend to stick to what I know and rarely stray from my beloved favourite chain.

But after spotting the latest addition to Liverpool ONE's array of shops and restaurants, I knew I had to give it a go. Located inside the former EE store on Paradise Place, Black Sheep Coffee opened its doors in the summer.

During the day, the shop serves a café menu, before transforming into a cocktail bar by night. Walking into the coffee shop, I was instantly impressed by the venue's décor. I'm a sucker for a good aesthetic, and Black Sheep Coffee most definitely doesn't disappoint. The walls are adorned with artwork, from brightly coloured prints to funky neon signs.

The lighting and exposed wood also add to the authentic feel of the shop, which is beautifully decorated and has a relaxed vibe. I opted for my favourite coffee - an oat milk latte - along with a slice of billionaire's shortbread to satisfy my sweet tooth. In terms of cakes, you are really spoiled for choice with an impressive array of delicious sweet treats to choose from.

I wasn't ordering lunch on this occasion, but there's also plenty of options if you're looking for something more substantial to eat. You can choose from Norwegian waffles with toppings such as Nutella and strawberries, bagels, toasties and smoothie bowls. In addition to the selection of hot and cold coffees on offer, you can also order smoothies and milkshakes.

I didn't have to wait long before I was greeted with my coffee, which was topped with some impressive looking latte art. The coffee tasted incredible and was one of the best I've had. The billionaire's shortbread was nice and sweet, with a generous layer of caramel, chunky chocolate and crumbly biscuit.

I ordered a medium sized oat milk latte, which was priced at £3.19. The billionaire's shortbread was £2.79. I felt like this was pretty consistent with what you'd expect to pay in a coffee shop and the quality of both meant it was well worth the treat. The staff were super friendly too, which added to the overall experience.

I was really impressed with Black Sheep Coffee and think it's one of the best coffee shops I've visited. I'll definitely be visiting again to try more of the delicious cakes.
