MAGA is currently in shock. For almost a decade they’ve been Donald Trump‘s ultra-loyal foot soldiers, cheering on his every pronouncement and action. In return, Trump gave them regular rallies and at least tried to live up to the pugilistic anti-establishment image they saw in him.
Now the party is over, as Trump just did to MAGA what he eventually does to everyone. Just like his former business partners, lawyers, political allies, friends, wives, and children, he’s thrown them under the bus.
In a bombshell post on Truth Social, he described them as his “PAST supporters” who’d bought into the “BS” around Jeffrey Epstein “hook, line, and sinker”. Trump didn’t stop there, billing MAGA as “weaklings” and capping things off by saying “I don’t want their support anymore”. MAGA status: officially dumped.

So let’s take MAGA’s temperature by exploring what the true die-hards believe. Yup, that means strapping on full biohazard protection and delving into the mire of patriots.win. This forum is the successor to r/thedonald, which was booted off Reddit for being toxic and abusive.
The overall mood is a combination of anger, despair, and denial, all couched in shock that Trump would turn on his most loyal followers. For example, one bewildered MAGA says, “I’ve never seen the president lash out at us like this before and it’s a bit disconcerting.” Some are lashing out: “This is a betrayal of the base and I personally am done defending him.”
Other MAGA are now vowing to bring him down: “Fine motherf**ker. You don’t want my support anymore well then you no longer have it. Weak piece of s**t was never going to do what needed done any f**king way, he IS the swamp now.”
There are still a few stragglers clinging to the idea that this is some kind of 5D chess move from Trump, and that belittling and abandoning his key supporters must be part of a larger cunning plan “to build the non-partisan momentum to expose the list to maximum effect.” Buddy, I doubt Trump even knows how to play 2D chess…
Anyone who’s watched Trump will know there’s no strategy or plan here. This is simply Trump behaving the same way he’s behaved his entire life: exploiting loyalty in others, then dropping them like a hot rock the second it suits him. That said, in the long term, it might not be the smartest move to stick a knife in the back of a group of highly armed and extremely motivated people with a history of violent action against the state!
Who knows how this will ultimately shake out, but MAGA has always said the movement was bigger than Donald Trump. This is their chance to prove it.
