'I’ve lost the libido': Dancing On Ice star Bez says the show 'curse' won't tear him away from his fiancee

As Happy Mondays maraca man Bez prepares to take to the ice tomorrow night on Dancing On Ice, he says he only has eyes for one woman.

The Manchester band's 'freaky dancer', whose real name is Mark Berry, is partnered on the ITV celeb skating show with pro Angela Egan.

And there will definitely be no talk of the so-called Dancing On Ice 'curse', the show's equivalent to the so-called Strictly curse when some participants have slid from skating duo to romantic partners, because Bez is not interested in anyone but his singer fiancee Firouzeh Razavi, reports the Mirror.

Bez, the first ever contestant to wear a helmet on the show, has promised to survive the show so the couple can marry in September.

He said: “At 57, I’ve lost the libido where you want to s*** everyone in the room. It’s a good thing… Firou’s got me at my best.

“I couldn’t be bothered with all the drama, I’m definitely getting older."

He added about Angela: “She’s a northern lass. They put us together because they thought we would understand each other because of our accents.

“I can see why people find love on the show – the girls are very attractive. But it’s not the case with me and Angela.

"We have a genuine friendship without any sexual tension.”

And Firouzeh isn’t worried.

She said: “Things like that don’t even cross my mind.

"I’m in a band with loads of men and you just have to trust each other in this industry.”

Celebrity Big Brother winner Bez, who has already taken a nasty tumble in training for Dancing On Ice, popped the question in October after a picnic on top of the Skirrid, known as the 'Holy Mountain', in Wales.

Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder will be the best man at the ceremony and the couple's first dance will be to David Bowie’s Absolute Beginners.

But there’ll be no maracas.

“I’ll save them for the bedroom,” Bez joked.
