'I've lost a piece of myself' Tributes paid to mum-of-six who died in M4 accident

Tributes have been paid to a 60-year-old mother of six from Bristol who died in a crash on the M4 shortly before Christmas.

Reverend Dr. Marcelline Beatrice Mudisi-Robinson died on December 15 in a four-vehicle collision on the M4 on the South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire border.

The crash happened on the westbound stretch of the motorway, between Chippenham and Bath.

The reverend's family have now paid tribute to the Brislington mum.

Her daughter Sapphire Lees said: "My mum was the most amazing and sweet woman.

"She was a pinnacle in the community and the whole of Bristol - with little exaggeration- I will miss my mum's radiant smile and bright energy.

"She was caring and had enough love in her heart for the whole world.

"She was always wanting the best for everyone and I personally will miss her because she was my best friend and mum all at once."

Ms Lees said her mum was originally from Zimbabwe and had moved to England in 2000 to claim asylum and to be able to provide more opportunities for her children.

Before settling in Brislington, the grandmother-of-one also had spent time living in Fishponds and Easton.

"At the moment I feel a little heartbroken, like I’ve lost a piece of myself," the daughter continued. "At the same time I feel as though I’ve embodied her strength and her spirit.

"My mum was the strongest person I have ever came into contact with in my life.

"I am coping only because she made sure she raised strong children and her books keep her alive.

"She will forever be in my heart."

Ms Lees said that her mother was an accountant and a childminder running several businesses, as well as being a pastor of the church 'Jesus Kingdom Ministry' in Brislington.

A theology student at Roehampton University, the reverend wrote nine books on Christian religious topics, with eight of them being published.

She also founded a college in Botswana which now has three other branches.

"It’s difficult not being able to share good things and bad things [with her]," she continued. "Whenever I had an achievement, my mum was the first to know about it and the first to make me feel even better about it.

"It was crazy how much knowledge she had and how many people she was a mother to."

Her son Felix Chiota Jnr, who will be flying to the UK from Zimbabwe for the funeral, said he felt devastated and described her as a generous, loving, kind and hard-working woman.

The 38-year-old continued:  "She was a selfless, kind, intelligent, compassionate woman who went out of her way always to help others and would have moved the earth for her loved ones.

"She was always fair with everyone she dealt with and had a very forgiving heart.

"I will miss her smile the most - she had this amazing intoxicating smile."
