After I had endured a long period of depression and loneliness, an old friend, with whom I had a fling 30 years ago, waltzed back into my life. We had a summer of love and happiness and, after a short time, we agreed he would move in with me. Only then did I discover that he was a homeless alcoholic with an atrocious past and money problems. I had already fallen for him, and feel trapped now. I heard from his ex-wife that he had stalked her when she finished with him and she had him arrested. He has been so good to me and says he is trying to turn his life around, so part of me feels really sorry for him. Shall I give him a chance?
