I’ve got a tiny bathroom with no storage space — IKEA’s $5 suction wall shelf stores all my clutter

IKEA ÖBONÄS Wall shelf.

If you need extra storage in your bathroom, for those things that you use daily but don't want to get lost in your cabinet, then don't overlook this genius shelf, spotted at IKEA.

The ÖBONÄS wall shelf is perfect for renters, as it's drill-free thanks to a suction cup application, while it sticks on glass, tiles, and mirrors, so that you can maximize storage space where you need it the most.

My en-suite bathroom is the perfect example of style over function, as it looks fancy — dark green walls meet metro tiles, decorated with wooden accents like a mirror and cabinet handles. Sadly, due to its layout, I don't have any open space for storage. Only a cabinet. The shelf I do have also acts as a windowsill, so I can't fill this spot with clutter, or I won't be able to reach to let air in.

So, this convenient IKEA find isn't just going to prove handy for sticking to my shelves, to hold things like my cotton pads and my face brush, but I'll also use one in my shower tray — to house my razor, my body sponge, and my wet brush.

Gone are the days of clutter filling my tiny en-suite and enveloping my shower tray — this $5 find will have my bathroom organized in no time. And I won't have to lug my toolkit out!

Why we love IKEA's ÖBONÄS wall shelf

With rounded corners, this is a soft addition to your bathroom, while it comes in two colors — beige or green. It blends with lots of decor styles, especially modern, while the green will add a pop of color to a bathroom that needs it.

I love that its design hides the suction cup, so you'd never know that this shelf wasn't actually drilled into your wall. Better yet? The suction cup, once on your tiles, never has to be removed, as the shelf can be lifted off the suction cup for cleaning. Genius!

With holes in the bottom of the shelf to allow for drainage, it's fully waterproof and showerproof, and you can use it in high-humidity areas like windowless bathrooms.

Plus, since it can be attached to several surface types, you could even fit it on a window, mirror, or even a shower screen. Unscrew the container from the suction cup for easy cleaning. No need to reinstall the entire product each time you clean.

The rest of the line
