Like many others, I have used a website called EU Delay to fight an airline on my behalf after it refused to pay compensation following a delayed flight.
I agreed to pay its fee of 25% of the recovered money.
Although the case was settled favourably in court months ago, EU Delay is refusing to forward on to me what it owes. I have been in touch with at least three others in the same situation, and have found them in a similar boat. LK, by email
EU Delay managing director, Jakub Kotan, blamed the lack of payments on problems he experienced with a partner company – problems he says have now been rectified.
After we raised your case Kotan confirmed that you had been paid – as well as another customer who similarly asked us for help in getting money owed by the firm.
Kotan says that around 10 customers had not been paid when they should have been, for which he apologised.
For anyone else looking to use a legal firm to bring a claim against an airline, we have found that Bott & Co Solicitors has proved reliable, and this would be our first choice.
