I unbox the Bird and Blend tea advent calendar and it smells unreal

I love tea. That actually might be downplaying how I feel when it comes to hot water and leaves.

There's so many different types in my kitchen that I more than live up to the British stereotype (although I find tea with milk more than a little offensive) so when I saw this advent calendar show up in the post I was more than a little thrilled.

Bird & Blend offer not one, but two teabags everyday in the run up to Christmas.

This gives you the chance to share your flavour of the day with a fellow tea lover, or if you don't quite feel so generous you can help yourself to a second cup (or teapot).

This book shaped advent calendar can fit nicely on any shelf and the boxes can be moved around in any order for a more interactive calendar experience.

It comes with plastic free packaging so you can feel a little better about your impact on the planet and I really like it.

You can choose an option with or without caffeine and have this calendar for £38 here - but don't worry, there are cheaper options too!

Now, I'm aware that this lovely countdown to Christmas is on the more expensive side than some of us would want.

But don't worry! If you have a tea lover in your life but you're on a budget then there are other options.

For less than £10 you can get the Pukka Days of Christmas, which has 24 sachets of herbal tea for the run up to Christmas.

You can get the 24 different flavours here for 2021.

If you have a little more cash to spare then the English Tea Shop has an Advent Book or Advent Puzzle (if you like something more interactive) here.

There are 25 different pyramid bags of organic tea for you to enjoy in December.

Also, if this calendar isn't your thing BUT you do want something a little more unusual this year- Amazon have an incredible variety of other food and drink calendars to try including Pringles, Popcorn Shed, Reeses and Swizzels just to name a few.
