I Tried We-Vibe’s Temperature Controlled Vibrator And It’s Sunny Days Downstairs, Baby

Hello, you kinky little minxes. If you’ve clicked on this, you’re intrigued about the possibility of temperature play without needing to whip out an ice cube or burn yourself with candle wax.

Allow me to introduce you to Temp ($159.95), We-Vibe’s latest sex toy. It’s the first palm vibrator that can change temperature. Combine that with vibrations, and you’re in for a fun time.

Ever since starting this gig, I’ve come across a whole bunch of sex toys and vibrators. A whole lot of them are just slightly different renditions of one another, but this is something entirely new. So when I was given the opportunity to review it, how could I say no?

If you know me, for peace and love, please click away now. Let’s save ourselves from having an awkward conversation.

What Is Temp?

Temp is a lay-on palm vibrator, and is the first to integrate precise heating and cooling technology. It has the ability to warm up to 38°C or cool down to 20°C. What can I say, the toy’s got range.

If you like temperature play in the bedroom but hate how quickly it gets messy, Temp is supposed to be the solution. You can use it at room temperature, or heat it up and cool it down at the press of a button. So if you’re not feeling the hot or cold settings, you can use it like a normal palm vibrator.

It has three different intensity levels and vibration patterns, which isn’t as many as a lot of vibrators out there. But don’t be fooled, the vibrations still feel pretty damn strong on the higher settings.

Temp is also waterproof, so you can bring it into the shower with you if you enjoy an extra wet sexscapade.

First Impressions

When I unboxed Temp, the first thing I thought was: it looks kinda like a computer mouse. And while the thought of banging one out with my Apple mouse lookalike doesn’t have me singing about sex like Sabrina Carpenter, I’m not one to judge a book (sex toy) by its cover (silicone tangerine curves).

Temp has three buttons: one to heat up the stainless steel plate in the centre of the toy, one to cool it down, and one to change the intensity.

I turned the on sex toy so I could mess around with the settings on the back of my hand to see how quickly it changed temperature.

It was a matter of seconds. I was seriously impressed.

But changing temperature on my hand was one thing. It’s the other areas I care about, if ya catch my drift.

Post-O Thoughts

Okay, this is a solid vibrator.

Firstly, it’s great for foreplay. You can use it on all your erogenous zones, not just downstairs.

I found it really fun switching between the hot and cold settings to keep things interesting. Temp gets cold, but not ice cold. And it gets nice and toasty warm, without burning your bits off. I imagine it would be great to use the hot setting in winter (and vice versa with the cold setting in summer).

With the buttons on the side of the vibrator, it was super easy to switch between the settings and intensities. I also noticed that the metal plate was the only aspect of the vibrator that got hot/cold, so your fingers aren’t uncomfortable while you hold it in place. Smart!

If you like external stimulation, you’ll absolutely love mazzing with this bad boy. It’s great both for solo and couples play, as you can hand over control to your partner and let them decide whether you’re deserving of hot or cold treatment.

It’s not the most powerful vibrator I’ve ever used, but that doesn’t rule it out! I had a mighty fine time using it, and will reach for it again. This will definitely be a sex toy I use for foreplay more than the main event, but that doesn’t mean it’s not capable of both (it most definitely is).

Whoever invented Temp deserves lots of flowers.

Where Can You Buy Temp?

Temp is available to purchase on Lovehoney’s website. It retails for $159.95, which is around the mid range for vibrators. And if you appreciate a good mazz sesh, I’d say this is worth the investment.

Happy mazzin, folks!
