I tried the Vamoosh 'pet hair dissolver' and it left my dog's bed spotless

Those who have a dog that moults will understand how irritating it is finding dog hair everywhere.

Cue the Vamoosh 'pet hair dissolver' - a clever sachet that promises to make that hair disappear. The nifty product promises to 'leave your pet's bedding - and your washing machine - hair free and sparkling clean'. And for someone with a dog with bright white fur, I was keen to find a solution to the mess.

Luckily, my dog's bed needed a clean anyway, so, it was time to try one of the 'pet hair dissolver' sachets. First up, it was figuring out how to actually use the thing.

Thankfully, it was a pretty easy process. All I had to do was place a sachet of the Vamoosh product into the washing machine with my dog's bedding and blankets on a hot washing cycle.

The only real issue I had with the process was the fact it requires a hot wash, which would result in a lot of energy being used. This isn't ideal for someone who has a dog that moults a lot, but I didn't let that change my opinion of the actual product itself.

So, how does Vamoosh actually work? Well, the 'pet hair dissolver' apparently uses active oxygen to break down the keratin in the hair, which dissolves the hair strands so they wash away. It also promises to protect future washes from hair, meaning no more pesky dog hair on clothes.

I actually read online that Vamoosh recommends using two sachets the first time you use the product, which I didn't, but it still seemed to work a treat for me. After placing the sachet on a hot wash for an hour and a half, my dog's blanket came out smelling amazing and free of hair.

One of my favourite things about the sachet was the smell, it was absolutely amazing! It had a really refreshing sweet scent to it and was definitely nicer than the original smell of my dog's bed.

It didn't just smell amazing, it looked great too. The product had made my dog's blanket very soft and fluffy, perfect for plenty of naps. For those who have dogs that moult, I'd definitely recommend this product, but do bear in mind the fact it has to be used on a hot wash for full effect. I personally think it's worth it every few weeks for a thorough dog bed wash, and the scent is a total bonus.
