'I tried the clothes shop where everything is a fiver - and I got a whole outfit'

If you're partial to a little bit of online shopping, then you'll be well aware that in recent months it seems as though prices have skyrocketed.

A dress that used to set you back just £20 may have doubled in price, and it makes shops that can offer great value for money much more attractive - especially as the cost of living continues to bite.

So when hearing about online retailer 'Everything5Pounds', MyLondon reporter Lea Dzifa Seeberg was keen to give it a try - but her expectations weren't high.

Lea noted that everything isn't actually £5, with some items coming out a little more expensive - but she reported that it's "pretty damn near."

With a budget of £15, she was worried that she might not be able to find anything other than a "frumpy polyester dress" and shoes her nan wouldn't be "seen dead in."

So when she actually found 15 things she was a big fan of, she was really shocked.

Lea said that the green floral off-the-shoulder dress (£5.75) would look great once she'd got rid of her "winter-induced pastyness."

She wanted to pair it with a £5.75 denim jacket so it could be worn "all summer", but when she paired it with a pair of Nike-esque trainers (£5.95) she found that the total was too high - so she emptied the basket and started again.

After searching further around the site and finding items such as a rainbow dress, chunky sandals, a cropped orange top, and high-waist trousers, she eventually settled on a lovely pink dress.

But Lea did spot a couple of drawbacks with the website, including having to pay almost £4 for delivery.

She said: "The only issue I found with Everything5Pounds was the sizing. I'm a UK 8 and wear the same in shoes. While I could easily get clothing in my size, it was the only one available for most things I clicked on."

She continued: "Sandals were my only option for footwear, as most seemed to go up to only a 7. That's fine in a bind, but sandals leave some breathing room."

A Money Saving Expert forum also noticed the issue, and one shopper offered some advice. They said: "Best time to get a good range of sizes is by logging on for the new arrivals, around 8.30/9am. The new arrivals can go fast.

"I have received clothing from Zara and New Look this week, as well as unknown brands. I have just returned a parcel today, postage returns are at your own expense but refunds are made quickly once received."
