I tried the Lush store's £40 'Snow Fairy bath experience' and felt 'fully pampered'

The Lush spa in Liverpool is offering the 'pinkest spa experience ever' with a 30 minute Snow Fairy bath ritual - and I was lucky enough to try it out.

Lush's 'Snow Fairy' scent has been a staple bath and shower product for me every year in November and December, so I'm sure you can only imagine my excitement when I saw this new experience advertised. The bath experience is exclusive to Liverpool only, which makes it all the more special.

Fans of the scent are invited to relax in warm pink waters with some cooling Rose Eye Pads, a mini Snow Bear soap and a fresh face mask specifically tailored for their skin. I'll be honest, at first, the concept of a bath in Lush was a little nerve-wracking, but as soon as it was time to soak I let myself go completely.

If you've never heard of, or tried the Lush Snow fairy scent, it's basically a festive special that's described as 'vibrant, sweet, fruity accord with notes of bubblegum, banana, pear drops, musk and vanilla with sweet candy floss'. It's incredibly popular amongst Lush fans, and I absolutely love it too. So, what does your 30 minute bath include? I've got all the details below.

The bath

As soon as I entered the Liverpool Lush Spa I felt instantly relaxed. I'd never actually been up there before, but it was certainly an extreme contrast to the hustle and bustle of the strongly scented busy store, and offered a really calming atmosphere.

The delicate sound of birdsong surrounded the spa, which was filled with luscious green plants and plush comfy chairs. I was sat down and greeted by a kind member of staff and made to feel very welcome and calm.

At first, we talked about my skin concerns so I could be given a face mask that would suit my skin the most. I opted for the BB Seaweed fresh mask to calm and cool my skin whilst in the bath.

I was guided into a room within the spa, which had a separate bath area that felt extremely private. The lights were dimmed and the smell of Snow Fairy filled the whole room - it was absolutely amazing.

As soon as I stepped into the room with the bath, I almost felt taken aback a bit. It was so beautiful inside, with faux pink flowers in the corner of the room that made their way up the walls, and 'Snow Fairy' paper cuttings on the walls.

The bath was a freestanding one (which is basically my dream) with black matte taps, and there was a tray with all my products. On the tray was my chilled face mask on ice, my Snow Bear soap, my cooling Rose Eye Pads and a lovely chilled jar of lemon and mint water.

I felt relaxed instantly and applied my mask, which felt amazing on my skin. The Rose Eye Pads were very cooling (but a little slippery) and the bath was very comfortable to lie in.

The one downside for me was the temperature of the bath, which I did try to fix, but the tap was a little temperamental at times. Perhaps I was being picky as I like my baths very hot, but the tap could've worked a little better to adjust the temperature.

Nevertheless, I still absolutely loved my bath experience, which was still nice and warm and smelt absolutely unreal. I was that relaxed I almost fell asleep at one point, which says it all!

Once my time was up, there was a subtle bell ring in the music that let me know it was time to get out. I wasn't rushed in any way, and was given plenty of time to get changed and spruce myself up with some Snow Fairy products that were left in the room.

I used the Snow Fairy lotion to make sure I felt extra soft and spritzed myself with the Snow Fairy dust and Snow Fairy body spray and ended up basically smelling like a giant bath bomb. I felt refreshed, rejuvenated, and pampered.

The verdict

I absolutely loved my experience, and although £40 for a 30 minute bath may sound a little steep, I think you really do get your money's worth.

Whether you fancy this experience for yourself or a gift for someone, I'd thoroughly recommend it. It's really different and unique, and you get to try out loads of new products.

The Lush 'Snow Fairy bath experience' is way more than just a bath. You get to relax and feel pampered and get some quiet time away from your phone, away from work, and the hustle and bustle of life.

My experience finished off with a delicious oat milk hot chocolate, and I was left in the spa area to relax until I was ready to leave. I'll definitely be doing this again, that's for sure.

The bath experience costs £40 for a 30 minute self-led bathing experience with a consultation and is available until January 8, 2023 at Lush Spa Liverpool on Church Street. The experience will launch to coincide with Lush Liverpool’s famous Christmas floor.
