The wait is over for fans of the iconic Greggs Sausage, Bean and Cheese melt as it made its big comeback today.
The melt has been unavailable since autumn due to supply chain issues and Greggs told customers they were “working round the clock” to get it back.
They hinted at the return via Twitter suggesting the melts would be back in stock on Thursday January 13.

"The comeback you’ve bean waiting for… 2 days to go," Greggs posted on social media pages on Tuesday, with a blurred picture of the snack oozing with baked beans.
Since the SBC melt is one of my firm favourites, I decided to grab one first thing, after all, it’s been far too long.
I got to Greggs at 8am in the morning thinking there would be plenty of hot fresh melts available, and well, I was wrong.
There were only three left on the shelf so I was lucky to have turned up when I did to get my SBC fix.
Overall impressions? Well, the temperature of the melt wasn’t great, it was actually pretty cold by the time I got round to eating it.

Since the store had been open since 6:30am, it’s understandable why I ended up with a cold melt.
The taste was still delicious though, with a nice firm crunch of pastry to reveal the cheesy bean goodness.
Sausage, Bean and Cheese melts are dangerous in a sense, because they’re incredibly moreish.
I’d been to Greggs since it had been removed off the menu, and couldn’t quite put my finger on what I was missing.
Now I know, it was the classic Sausage, Bean and Cheese melt that I was craving, a popular fan favourite and my favourite too!
For me, the one downside about the return was the temperature of my melt, but I still really enjoyed it, and definitely missed the taste.
I’ve got to give my favourite Greggs snack a 4 out of 5, for me, it's one of the best items on the menu, but it would’ve been much better if it was warmer to get that gooey cheese effect.
