I've yet to meet anyone who enjoys cleaning windows and there's nothing worse than sitting back to admire your hard work only to be greeted by smears and streaks. So with everyone raving about a new trick for streak-free glass - and my Labrador nose-printing my windows at every opportunity - of course I was itching to give it a go.
Mum friends told me that cleaning guru Mrs Hinch, aka Sophie Hinchliffe, had shared the hack to banish streaks for good - and it doesn't even involve buying any new products.

What you do need is a tumble dryer that collects the water in a condenser and it's that water that cleans the windows like magic. I mean you will be spending some money on your tumble dryer and it's not something you'll use as much during the warmer weather - thank goodness - but when you do have some to hand then simply pour it into a spray bottle to use on your windows, mirrors and anything else that needs a clean.
I gave it a go on my windows and was amazed by the results. Previously I've used everything from specific window cleaner products to vinegar spray and rarely am I left without streaks.
With this solution it cleared the marks off in no time and left me with a streak-free finish Mrs H would be proud of. Who knew that something so simple as recycling a by-product of an appliance could be so effective.
I don't know how it works and I don't care, but it does. Now to see what other hacks Mrs H has got up her sleeve.
