I tried the £34 NARS tinted moisturiser and it’s perfect for hot weather

I usually like a good full coverage foundation, but recently with the warmer weather I was after something lighter.

The NARS ‘pure radiant’ tinted moisturiser is SPF 30 and described as an 'oil free' product. It comes in various different shades to suit each individual skin tone and shoppers have been absolutely raving about it.

In the past I've never been too bothered about tinted moisturisers as I’m someone that gets quite self conscious about my blemishes. But, since I was going away on holiday abroad for the first time in years, I wanted something light with decent coverage.

I’m a big fan of NARS foundations, and have used both the longwear and sheer glow foundation several times. After seeing plenty of positive reviews about their tinted moisturiser, I thought I’d give it a go.

The tinted moisturiser

The NARS tinted moisturiser is in classic NARS packaging, which I can only describe as luxurious and minimal. It comes in a lightweight tube as opposed to their larger glass tube foundations, and looks generally quite expensive for a tinted moisturiser.

In terms of consistency, I was surprised at how thick this tinted moisturiser actually was. As I rubbed it onto my skin, a little really did go a long way and it left a beautiful matte finish.

I was conscious that the mattifying effect of the moisturiser might make my skin look dry or patchy, but it looked anything but. I was left with radiant, glowy looking skin, that I've usually only achieved with the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter.

Of course, it didn’t completely cover my blemishes, but it covered the redness to make my skin look even and flawless. I left the house looking radiant and glowy and I actually ended up really liking the lighter look.

The verdict

For someone that’s full coverage or nothing, I was pleasantly surprised at how gorgeous this tinted moisturiser looked. I think it taught me that less really is more, and I don’t always have to choose heavy coverage because of my blemishes.

It felt seriously light on my face, and the fact it’s SPF 30 is a total bonus. I’ll definitely be switching to this product on warmer days because it gives me just the right amount of coverage and glow, it's perfect.
