There are plenty of budget foundations out there that don’t need to make a hole in your purse.
With high-end brands such as Charlotte Tilbury and NARS taking a lot of limelight, many of us forget about the drugstore brands.
I for one am guilty of purchasing high-end products when there can be products just as good for less than £20.

The L’Oreal True Match Foundation has been around for years, but I’ve never actually tried it.
Praised by reviewers as ‘affordable’ and ‘full coverage’ and currently priced at £9.99 on LookFantastic , I thought I’d test it.
The foundation
Described on the LookFantastic website as a ‘lightweight liquid foundation with skin-perfecting pigments’, I was impressed with the finish of this foundation.
With some foundations, the application can feel very sticky and heavy, but this one felt almost like a moisturiser.
Although the coverage was full, it didn’t feel like full coverage, which is always rare to find in a foundation.
My skin felt like it could actually breathe, and it didn’t sink into my fine lines which is a struggle I often face.
The shade was spot on for me, and it blended in seamlessly with a sponge.
After leaving the foundation on for a few hours to test, it lasted fairly well with a few top ups of powder.
The verdict
I was really impressed with this foundation, considering it was £10 to purchase.
I’ve gone through a lot of different foundations over the years, some pricier than others, and this one is a total bargain.
The one thing I liked the most about this foundation was the accurate shade, and the airbrushed finish.
I’ll be giving this foundation a 4/5 because it blended in perfectly, but I would’ve preferred a slightly thicker consistency.
