I tried Smirnoff's new Raspberry Crush flavour and think it's great for pink gin fans

Smirnoff is a classic brand that many of us are aware of, Smirnoff Ice being the sugary flavour of quite a few student night outs.

Well, they've brought out a brand new flavour (and it's bright pink!) that tastes like crushed raspberries and looks beautiful in a glass.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the new booze, which pairs really well with lemonade (although can be mixed into a variety of pretty, pink cocktails).

It's got a sweet raspberry flavour that is reminiscent of a classic pink gin, but without any of the herby undertones you get from the added botanicals.

This vodka is a perfect alternative to pink gins if you want something a little sweeter.

I tried a double (50ml) of the drink with lemonade and ice and it made a pretty pink drink.

It had a fairly smooth taste, although with an ABV of 37.5% it is no surprise that there is the distinctive vodka flavour lurking behind the sweet raspberry flavour at the front.

It's different to the already released Raspberry Smirnoff due to the bright colour (and perhaps the taste, although I must confess I've never tried the clear Raspberry Smirnoff ).

I found it to be quite enjoyable, but compared to some drinks on the market it leaves a little room to be desired (LUXLO has set the bar really high).

For those who enjoy a vodka on a night out, this is a really good option.

I think this is definitely a great option for summer drinks, with the colour looking great in all your Instagram pictures and the fruity flavour working well
