I tried 'chic' £29 M&S trousers that are a 'gorgeous colour' - a review

I'm always on the hunt for a new pair of versatile trousers that not only look good, but feel comfortable too.

If I had a pound for every single time I'd purchased a pair of trousers that looked amazing on the model, but horrendous on me - I'd be a millionaire. I'm a huge fan of trousers with an elasticated waist, because I'll take comfort over anything.

In the past, I've never thought to purchase items of clothing from Marks & Spencer, but these past few years the brand has become a firm favourite purely because of the quality of its items. I visited my local M&S on Church Street and came across a stunning pair of trousers in a beautiful colour.

I absolutely adore the colour pink, so when I saw these bold and beautiful trousers in M&S I knew I had to try them. The Side Stripe Drawstring Wide Leg Trousers are priced at £29.50 and have received glowing reviews online from shoppers.

Online, the full product description reads: "Keep it casual with these trousers sporting contrasting side stripes. Designed with wide legs and a high-rise elasticated waist with a drawstring fastening for the perfect fit. Features concealed side pockets for practicality and mock pockets on the back for bonus style points. M&S Collection: easy-to-wear wardrobe staples that combine classic and contemporary styles."

Naturally, not every shopper liked the trousers, with some describing the trousers as either 'too long' or 'see through'. After trying on the trousers, I personally loved them that much I knew I had to buy them.

For me, the trousers create a perfect spring look, and are generally pretty versatile. Of course, the colour pink can sometimes be difficult to style, but I plan to pair it with simple styles such as white tops or jumpers.

To wear, these trousers were an absolute dream. They were so incredibly soft against my legs and flowed beautifully with a slight flare at the bottom.

I was a little unsure after reading reviews about the length, considering I'm only 5'3, but I was pleasantly surprised, and can even get away with wearing these trousers with trainers.

Admittedly, these trousers can be a bit of a pain to iron (but that's most likely down to my lack of ironing skills) but other than that, they're pretty dreamy. The stripe adds a bit of a sporty vibe whilst still looking feminine which I absolutely love.

If you're after a cute pair of trousers that are comfortable and don't restrict your belly, these ones are a winner. They can be worn for work, or casually, and will add an effortlessly chic look to any outfit.

Shoppers can purchase the £29 trousers here. Other brands selling similar trousers to this £29 pair include SHEIN and Reiss.
