I Tracked Down All the Barn Finds in Forza Horizon 5 So You Don’t Have To

The huge map of Forza Horizon 5 isn’t limited to just racing and exploring, but offers a variety of side activities such as hunting classic cars through hidden barn finds.

While it’s nearly impossible to discover all those barn finds in one go, this guide will simplify things for you and reveal all the locations. So, stick to the end and uncover all the barn finds Forza Horizon 5 offers.

The Key to Locating Barn Finds

Unfortunately, you can’t just directly drive to these locations at the very start of the game and expect to see your favorite classic car. Investing hours in game progression is important until you get a barn find rumor from either of the Horizon Festival’s representatives, Alex or Alejandra. Similarly, some rumors can be triggered by buying properties such as La Cabaña situated in the northwest corner.

Once you are aware of the rumor, a purple circle appears on your map indicating the vehicle’s location. Now you have to drive to this place and scout around. However, to make things a little easier, you can access drone mode through Creative Hub and hover over the location to spot the barn more efficiently.

With the barn find now in sight, driving towards it will unlock a cutscene which will showcase your rusty four-wheeler ready to be restored. Have a little patience, as you still won’t be able to drive it just yet, and have to wait for it to be repaired. But if patience is not your thing, you can always pay Credits and unlock your vehicle instantly. When unlocked, head to the “Barn Finds” page under the “Garage” tab and collect your fresh new ride.

Now that you are aware of the science behind these barn finds, let’s talk about the location of each of these cars:

Ford Racing Escort 1967

This car is waiting for you at the peak of the volcano. Open up your Forza Horizon 5 map and locate the “La Gran Caldera” label by hovering towards the northwest part. To be more precise, the barn find is just above the “L” in “La”. It’s going to be a long off-road climb, so taking this trip with a quick off-roader can help you get to the location fast.

GMC Jimmy 1970

Another location where you are better off with an off-roader, the Jimmy sits near the swamps of Cascadas De Agua Azul. Just by the Atlantes De Tula ruins, a dirt road connects it down with the Cascadas river, which has a dirt track that will guide you straight to the barn.

Jaguar Sport XJR-15 1991

This Jag is eating dust at an airfield in the southwest of Mexico, the Aeródromo En La Selva. You have to roam around the dirt circuits found in the south of this airfield until you find a barn sitting between dozens of trees. For an accurate approach, the barn sits just above the “mo” of the Aeródromo label of the map.

Porsche 911 Carrera RS 1973

The search for this 911 will take you to the mountain roads of the Caldera on the east side. Take your car uphill, and as soon as you are past the first hairpin, take the dirt track at the left. Now, you have to continue your journey northwards until you find the barn. Be patient, this track might take a while.

Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback 1968

If you are looking for an American classic, the ’68 Mustang could be yours if you head towards the east-northeast of Guanajuato. Exit the city by going east and take a left onto the first road that goes north. Continue this path, let it curve towards the right and then left. After these turns, keep an eye out for the dirt path on your right — this will take you straight to the barn.

BMW 2002 Turbo 1973

Apart from the American classics, a legendary German vehicle can also be found near Guanajuato. Finding this barn is quite simple as well, just take your vehicle up the hill in the dirt, on the northwest side of the city, and get ready for the restoration.

Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck 1993

To add a Toyota Baja Truck to your collection, you have to drive towards the southwest of Mexico. Look for these three landmarks to go in the right direction: De Otro Mundo, Club De Ópalo De Fuego, and Palacio Azul Del Océano.

Your truck is resting below the De Otro Mundo label alongside the crop circle on the Forza Horizon 5 map. Go beyond the 4 o’clock of this circle, and it will head towards the barn you are looking for.

Ferrari 250 GTO 1962

This Italian stallion is a prized find and can light up your collection once restored. The 250 GTO rests close to the east coast, almost at the Jardines road marked on Mexico’s map. You have to drive roughly between Playa Azul and Valle De Las Ranas. There is a dirt road that acts as a link between two regular roads that are both connected to the roundabout. Halfway down this dirt road, turn left, and there’s your barn.

Renault 4L Export 1968

For this classic French hatchback, you have to drive towards the northwest corner of Mexico, just northeast of the Baja Circuit, and side by side with the northern border. Take your vehicle to the junction, which will arrive when you drive west along the northernmost road. Now, turn left and go south, and you’ll find a dirt path on your left as soon as this road curves right; that’s where the Renault 4L is hidden.

Dodge Viper GTS ACR 1999

The ‘99 GTS ACR is a pretty simple barn find, situated in the southeast corner of Mexico and north of the Ek’ Balam ruins. You can easily find this car at the second “A” of the label “Gran Pantano” on the game’s map.

Chevrolet Corvette 1953

A ‘53 Vette awaits at almost the centre of the Forza Horizon 5 map, southeast of Tierra Próspera and just below the main highway moving across the middle. There you’ll find a dirt road that goes over a small river. Cross it and keep heading east until you spot a track that leads to the barn.

Dodge Dart Hemi Super Stock 1968

Need a classic Dodge Dart? Head to the southern half of Mexico, next to Teotihuacan. Cruise around the horizontal road that is just south of the main strip through Teotihuacan. There, you’ll find a dirt track. The exact location is just beneath the “can” of the Teotihuacan label.

Ferrari F40 Competizione 1989

Just west of Tulum and in the southeast of Mexico lies another Italian masterpiece. Inside the dirt and swamps near Riviera Maya, head to the southeast coast and north of Pantano De La Selva to locate the barn. The F40 Competizione is indeed one of the fastest and unique cars in the game, making it a must-have.

Ford F100 1956

The barn for F100 is enclosed between the road loop, which lies below the Tierra Próspera label. Drive south from this label, and it will take you straight to the exact location.

These are all of the 14 hidden classics you can find in the game. None of these require a DLC or paid content to unlock, just your passion and commitment. Some of these cars, such as the F40 and the Viper ACR, are powerful as-is, but you can always tune them up to guarantee podiums. That said, go out there and revive these pieces of history, and play Forza Horizon 5 the way it’s meant to be.
