'I thought the Covid jab had messed with my cycle but I found out I was pregnant on TV'

When The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Hanna Kinsella received the happy news that she and her husband Martin were expecting their second child she never imagined that it would be in front of the cameras.

Last month cosmetic dentist Hanna revealed that she was pregnant just eight months after welcoming son Maximus James.

And the shock moment was captured on the ITVBe reality show.

The news came as a shock to Hanna who had thought that she was just feeling under the weather after having a covid jab.

During a Real Housewives' trip to Edinburgh for the show she did a pregnancy test smuggled into their hotel between two packets of crisps by her friend and co-star Rachel Lugo.

But the crew got wind of it and asked Hanna if they could film her taking the test.

Convinced that it would come back negative, she agreed.

"I had just had a covid jab so I was under the impression that it had messed up my cycle," she said.

"So I didn't think anything of it.

"We were going a yoga scene and as I was in the van waiting to go in I got a wave over me where I felt faint and tired.

"We had dinner party that night and I knew it was going to be a stressful so I texted Rachel and said 'you need to get me a test.'

"The producers got a whiff of it and they asked if I would do it.

"I only agreed because I was 99 per-cent sure it would be negative."

Hanna was stunned as she waited for the result in her hotel room with Rachel and it came back positive.

"I remember saying 'it's going to be negative.'

"When I took my hand off the test you could hear a pin drop in the room."

The pair then decided to swerve one of the ladies' drama-fuelled dinner party to have a quiet celebration on their own.

The following day Hanna headed back home to give her delighted husband the news by dressing their boy in a baby grow with the slogan 'I'm going to be a big brother.'

"It is such big news and it was a massive shock," she said.

This will be baby Max's first Christmas (Chic PR)

"I previously thought 'I'll wait until Max was two or three.'

"But he's going to have a best friend."

She added: "If I'd have thought it would be positive I would done it at home with Martin but it's nice that I've now got that footage that I can treasure."

Hanna, 33, who is due in early May, is now looking forward to Max and her bump's first Christmas, and they've had their home decorated for the season by The Christmas Company with special 'mummy', 'daddy', 'Max' and 'bump' oversized baubles.

"This is the second Christmas on the trot that I've been pregnant," she pointed out.

And 2022 will be a busy one for the Kinsellas.

In the new year Hanna will be adding to her Icy Bear dental products, including a Bear Cubs line for children, and her anti-ageing doctor husband is planning to launch his own line in skincare.
