When I first came across it, the idea of adding a MagSafe connection to a reusable water bottle sounded like a dumb idea. But after trying out the Scosche MagicMount Flask for months now, I feel much differently. In fact, it’s a brilliant idea that should’ve been started way earlier.
As much as Stanley’s line of reusable water bottles are hot items for the upcoming holiday season, this one from Scosche is worth a look because of the extra utility it provides beyond just keeping drinks cool or hot. It also works with all the best iPhones that support MagSafe, along with some of the best Android phones that have the magnets for Qi2 charging, like the Pixel 10 series.
Right now for a limited time, all versions of the MagicMount Flask are on sale for Cyber Week with up to 29% off savings.
I’ve been using the 22 oz white version of the Scosche MagicMount Flask for over six months now and the best thing is how I discovered all the ways I’ve used its MagSafe connection with my iPhone. Since I test many of the best electric cars, I spend a lot of time on the road doing stuff like putting Google Maps vs Waze to the test — so having my phone nearby attached to the MagicMount Flask is helpful.

Due to how the top part with the MagSafe connection can tilt at an angle, it allows me to better glance at the next set of directions without completely taking my attention away from the road. At work, I typically have the Scosche MagicMount Flask right on my desk because it’s the perfect height to attach my phone to it for FaceTime or video calls.
It functions just like any other reusable water bottle I’ve owned by keeping what I have inside cold or hot. Scosche claims that the double-wall vacuum insulation in its bottles can keep liquids hot for up to 12 hours and 24 hours for cold stuff. Even though I don’t drink beverages that need to stay that cool or hot for that long, it’s kept my water ice cold for easily eight hours.

When I’m working out at my home gym, I also love how the MagicMount Flask is perfect for keeping my phone at arm’s length when I’m on a machine — so I can watch something as I exercise or quickly scroll through my music playlist. There’s a silicone sleeve attached at the bottom of the bottle that allows it to stay firmly in place on slick surfaces, but it also doubles as a cup for when I need it. Small details like this go a long way into giving it more utility than the average water bottle.
Finally, it’s nice that there are different sizes and colors available. In addition to the 22 ounce bottles that have been around for some time now, Scosche recently introduced a larger 32 ounce bottle — with both sizes available in white, black, pink, and blue. I didn’t think adding a MagSafe connection to a water bottle would be this helpful, but now I bring the MagicMount Flask everywhere I go.
