'I think it happens' - Liverpool fans take to social media as 20-year-old prodigy heaps praise on current Reds star

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react to a clip circulating that shows highly-rated American and RB Salzburg prodigy, Brenden Aaronson, speaking about his love of Liverpool Football Club and in particular ex-Reds captain Steven Gerrard.

Aaronson, who currently plays in the Austrian Bundesliga, is still at the youthful age of 20-years-old and racked up 12 goal contributions in 25 games across all competitions last season as he was part of the side that one the Austrian Bundesliga and the domestic cup.

Speaking on the ESPN YouTube channel, Aaronson revealed that Gerrard was his favourite footballer growing up and name-dropped current midfielder Jordan Henderson, and his former teammate Gini Wijnaldum as his two favourite current players to watch.

Liverpool fans took to Twitter to react in an exciting manner to Aaronson's comments, as many have already begun to predict that he could one day be walking out at Anfield as a Reds player, given his potential ability and his recently stated public affection for the club.

Liverpool seemingly have a good relationship with those involved in the Leipzig and Salzburg camps as they have recently acquired the services of Naby Keita, Ibrahima Konate and Takumi Minamino from the Red Bull set up.

With many of the Salzburg players moving to Leipzig after they have become settled to the Austrian league, Liverpool could well be in a pole position to negotiate a deal in years to come.

Whatever happens, Aaronson is definitely one to keep an eye on.
