'I think he'll be here for years' - Mark Noble predicts long West Ham stay for Manuel Pellegrini

West Ham captain Mark Noble says he believes Manuel Pellegrini will remain manager of the club for many years, and says he can "slowly but surely" feel the club mentality changing.

Pellegrini has started his second season as West Ham boss and Noble says the Chilean boss' calming influence over the team is making a real difference, following a tumultuous spell at the club with managers.

Pellegrini became the club's fourth boss in just over three years after he took over in 2018, with Sam Allardyce, Slaven Bilic and David Moyes preceding him.

When Noble was asked whether the calm scenes at West Ham in recent times were a testament to Pellegrini's character and influence behind the scenes, he could scarcely have been more positive.

"Do you know what, it's incredible you say that. I think you couldn't be more spot on with how you've seen things. It's felt like that to me as well," Noble told Radio5Live.

"I think his personality is just so calm. There's no antics with him, you don't hear anything. He doesn't want the limelight. He doesn't do many interviews but he works with us every single day on how to improve as a club.

"The mentality of the football club is changing slowly and I can feel it.

"I mean, the way we started last year was terrible. To only be five points off the Europa League spot - I think he's slowly but surely changing the club.

"I think he's going to be here for many years, I really do. I think his personality and the way the fans have taken to him and the way we play football - I really do think he'll be here for years."
