I think a lot has changed in the TV industry in the last five years: Mohammad Nazim

Mohammad Nazim's show Tera Mera Saath Rahe aired its last episode on June 17. The actor admits that he did expect it to run a little longer. He says, "We were getting a good response to the show, but for some reason it had to wrap up. I have no idea why. I understand that every journey has to end at some point but I expected this show to run for two to three years. But looking at how other TV shows are wrapping up in three months, ours was lasted for a year which makes it a good show."

In the past, Mohammad's Saath Nibhaana Saathiya lasted for seven years. The new trend of shows going off air soon is not a good sign he admits. "I think a lot has changed in the TV industry in the last five years. People are also watching other mediums like OTT. So the chances of audiences getting hooked to a particular show have become less. But the good part is that even now there are a few shows on TV that have been running for many years," he says.

He is now looking forward to bagging another interesting project. Ask him if he plans to take a short break, he says, "I don't want to take any break for now. I just want to keep working and do good roles. There are certain responsibilities for me and I would not like to take a break from those. So I have already started looking for work options already."
