I tested this 6-in-1 MagSafe GaN fast charger — and now it's the only charger I need on my desk

By now, my desk has seen a number of MagSafe chargers come and go — but only one has survived the onslaught of change. That’s the Mophie 3-in-1 Extendable MagSafe Stand, mainly because of its unique telescoping arm that lets me extend the charger to eye level. While it’s been a constant on my desk, it’s about to get the heave-ho.

That’s because I’ve been testing out the Acefast Z9 Pro, a 6-in-1 MagSafe charger that does one thing I haven’t seen before: it has a built-in 100W GaN fast charger. Most people might not think it’s a big deal, but it is, because it effectively becomes the only charger I need. This means I can ditch my laptop’s power adapter and free up a socket on my surge protector — all while clearing out the extra cables and wires for my iPhone and Apple Watch.

Quite simply, it’s the one charger that rules them all.

First and foremost, it checks all the boxes for what I want in every MagSafe charger I test — the ability to charge my iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch simultaneously. Since the MagSafe base tilts, I can charge my iPhone while accessing StandBy mode to make it act like a desk clock. Meanwhile, another wireless pad behind it charges my AirPods, while the Apple Watch charger is ingeniously tucked into its side.

It’s worth noting that the Acefast Z9 Pro provides upgraded 25W Qi2 wireless charging speeds, which benefits newer phones like the Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max that have the hardware to support the faster speeds. Of course, there are additional USB ports on the side to charge your other devices — but I really like the fact that it also has a retractable USB-C cable.

What really sets the Acefast Z9 Pro apart from other MagSafe chargers is that it doubles as a GaN charger to power larger electronic devices like my tablet, laptop, and mirrorless camera. While the retractable USB-C cable tops out at 60W, using the USB-C port on the side unlocks its faster 100W speed.

For phones with super-fast charging tech, like the OnePlus 15 and Motorola Razr Fold, they can get very close to 50% charged with about 15 minutes of charging.

Finally, I can’t stress enough how the Acefast Z9 Pro unintentionally helps clean up the clutter on my desk, because now I only need one charger on my tabletop for everything I need to power throughout my day. The charger comes with an AC adapter, and it’s the one thing that supplies power to everything I connect to it. I went from having chargers and cables for my laptop, phone, and mirrorless camera, to just using the Acefast Z9 Pro for all of them.

The price isn’t too bad either, as the $79 cost is entirely justified by it being the one charger I need on my desk. You could save a bit more by getting the version with an 80W GaN charger, but I’d still recommend the 100W one just because of the extra headroom so that power delivery to your laptop won’t slow down as much.
