When it comes to weddings, most of us are delighted when a loved one invites us to take part in their big day.
But this fact did not ring true for one woman who hated her brother' s fiancé.
And she went to extreme lengths to get out of spending time with his partner - sending a lookalike to perform her role in the special occasion.
The unbelievable tale came to light when the sister's doppelganger took to Reddit to reveal their charade.
And she claims they got away with the swap, only being found out after the stand-in walked down the aisle as a flower girl at the wedding.

The woman, who is a cousin to the skiving sister, told how the odd turn of events came about on a thread asking for stories about identity mix-ups.
She wrote: "I have a cousin who is 3 years younger than me and named after me - they lived many states away and there was no expectation we'd ever meet. My family ended up moving close to them, and we attended a wedding.
"I was so shocked to meet this girl with my name who looked almost exactly like me. I was very short for my age, and we were exactly the same height. We had the same hair cut and color, the same skin tone.
"Our accents were different, but we quickly learned to mimic one another. The only difference you could really see was that my blue eyes are a little darker with yellow rings around the pupil, and hers had none.
"We also have different birth marks, but both are hidden even in minimal clothing. I've always had a small mole on my arm she doesn't have."
The lookalike continued: "She absolutely hated her brother's fiancee, and didn't want to be part of the wedding prep while the woman stayed at their house along with all her family.
"My family decided to camp that week, go to the wedding, then go home. She and I traded places. I think my dad suspected, because she didn't have a lot of camping skills I did, but I told her if all else fails, read a book.
"I did that all the time and would get so lost to the world, my family would just leave me alone."
And she says they got away with it - only being rumbled when it was too late.
"My great uncle - her grandfather - eventually caught us, but not until after I was the flower girl at the wedding while she sat with my family," the woman said, adding: "He didn't rat us out; he just made us go swap clothing and places."
Her post concluded: "We didn't tell anyone, but on the way home, my dad asked how my cousin enjoyed camping with them. My mom and sister were absolutely shocked. They hadn't even noticed even though the girl spent an entire week with."
Replying to bemused commenters, she added: "Honestly, maybe I shouldn't be surprised mom and my sister didn't notice. My sister was 13 and a huge pain in the ass that year. She and mom were constantly arguing with each other, which meant I stayed under the radar a lot to not get dragged into it.
"Her parents didn't notice because they were much too busy with the wedding and all the people in the house, and my cousin was an introvert, so she didn't talk much and tended to avoid large groups of people. The house was full of people, so I played outside when not told to run an errand."
And while she thinks her dad noticed the difference, as her cousin "was a lot more civilized at 8 than I was at 11," she said: "He was always the type to watch rather than intervene when I got up to stuff as long as no one was going to get hurt. I think he found it entertaining."
