Robbie Ure admits he's taken an unusual career path after signing for Swedish side Sirius, but he hopes it may lead him to return to Rangers one day.
The former Ibrox kid made a surprise move to Swedish football last month after a couple of years at Anderlecht, where he played for their first team.
He made two assists on his debut this week at Sirius and explained why he opted to quit the Belgian giants to move to Scandinavia.
The 21-year-old said: "Every player's journey is different.
"I wanted to take the next step in my career. At Anderlecht, I played in the second division in Belgium with their B side, and I felt ready for a move up.
"Sirius was an attractive move for me in terms of how they develop players. Yousef Salech came here, did well and then moved on to Cardiff City, which was also something I was thinking about. I also wanted to play in a good league and at a good club, and get minutes here, as I need to play at my age.

"I have to admit that I didn't know much about the Swedish league. but I'm learning all the time and now I've played a match. There's no better way to get to know a league than to play matches. I think there are a lot of teams with quality here, so I'm happy to be here.
"Everyone has different journeys. There are a lot of Scots who play abroad and do well, so every player's journey is different. Every game is a new opportunity.
"I got to try out senior football for the first time in Belgium, so it was very good. I think I adapted to it quickly and I felt good in Belgium. But when I got the chance to come here, I didn't have to think too long.
"It feels like a long time ago now, but it was a dream for me, growing up as a Rangers supporter. It was great to start my journey there and be there for so long, but I needed to take another step, even though it was a very good time there.
"I was part of a huge football club, and I enjoyed it.
"Of course I dream about going back one day. It would be something that would be very nice for me and for my family, but I'm not focusing on that right now. But my whole family are Rangers fans. We'll see what happens in the future."
