'I still can't believe it' Music icon Cher pays tribute to Glasgow busker

Singing mega star Cher has paid tribute to a busker who regularly performs on the streets of Glasgow.

The Believe singer shared Esosa Max-Who's stunning rendition of Whitney Houston hit I Have Nothing with her 3.7million followers on Twitter this week.

The 73-year-old was visiting Scotland to perform a sell-out show at the SSE Hydro - but took the time to show some appreciation for the local talent Glasgow has to offer, report Glasgow Live.

She captioned the post with: "Some are touched – music runs through us. But when you stand in the street and sing your heart out into the nite, you're more than special."

The Glasgow University student was starstruck to learn a music icon had given her an online shout-out.

The 23-year-old said: "I saw it this morning. I still can't believe it. I'm so shocked!"

She said a passer-by, claiming to "know Cher," had been watching her sing and told her she would send the Believe singer footage of her performance.

Since the post, Esosa a host of messages off people from all over the world on Instagram, praising her "beautiful voice" and "unreal talent".

The singer added: "This helps me a lot. I am not a very confident person and I don't believe in my voice that much. I wasn't expecting it but it has really made my day.

"I never would have thought this would happen!"
