A married banker who broke the coronavirus lockdown to meet his mistress for sex says he'll never do again because he felt so guilty - but not because he's been unfaithful.
Robert, 44, lives with his wife and their three teenage children in the Cotswolds, but leads a completely separate life on the side when working in London.
The government's strict social distancing rules haven't stopped him from looking for new relationships, and he's already met two people he's planning to start physical affairs with as soon as possible.
He said: "I only ever see them at my London flat. I like to keep my family life completely separate."
"I have largely maintained the same work routine as in pre-lockdown days - staying in London three nights a week with long weekends with the family in the Cotswolds.
"Have I broken the lockdown? Yes once in the early days with a married woman who was marooned on her own in London.
"But I do believe that social distancing is right and I felt guilty about breaking the rules and I have not done it since."
As well as the woman he's met in person, he has been chatting to two new flings since Boris Johnson introduced the strict restrictions.
He said: "I have made two new contacts with women since the lockdown started and we will start affairs as soon as this hell is over.
"I can only see the lockdown lasting another three weeks or so.
"I have refrained from Facetime sex with them both during lockdown because I don't want it to detract from the real thing when we are finally free."
Robert has been having affairs for about five years, but he's not sure if his wife knows about them.
He said: "I made the mistake of marrying my childhood sweetheart, the first girl I ever slept with.
"We have been dating since we were 15 and stayed together while studying at university - me at York studying maths while my wife did English at Exeter.
"After uni, my wife started working as a corporate lawyer in London while I worked in the City.
"We bought a flat together in Clapham and got married in our late 20s because we both wanted children.
"We have three teenagers now and the marriage is still strong."
However he started to play away when the couple decided to swap the hustle and bustle of London life in favour of the countryside.
They fell in love with a big house near Chipping Campden in the Cotswolds and put in an offer straight away.
However it left Robert with a two-hour commute to work, which they decided was too much to do every day so bought a flat in Shoreditch.
He now stays there three nights a week when he needs to be in the office - and it's now the base for his numerous affairs.
He said: "It was after buying the flat that the affairs started.
"I am member of a private members' club and used use the gym after work and swim in the pool on the room terrace.
"I met a woman one night and we began a discreet affair because she was married too and neither of us wanted to split up our marriages.
"We would work out, go for a swim and then head to my flat around the corner for sex.
"It was exciting and she was only the second woman I had ever had sex with.
"The affair fizzled out, because my lover felt guilty about cheating on her husband, but I knew I could not go back to monogamy and needed to meet someone new."
He signed up to IllicitEncounters.com, a dating website that matches married people, after a recommendation from a friend and soon found a new lover.
He said: "We both love to work out and she would get the train into London, do a gym session with me at my club and then we would have sex at my flat.
"This went on for about a year. I now tend to have two affairs on the go at any one time.
"They can be women like Marie, highly sexed and looking to be spoilt, or they are women stuck in joyless marriages who are not ready to split with their partners and just want some discreet fun."
He says he's not sure if his wife suspects what he's up to, but believes she's remained faithful to him.
He said: "Does my wife suspect that I am up to no good? Possibly, though if she does she keeps it to herself.
"She knows that I use porn and this doesn't bother her.
"Is she cheating on me, too? I don't think so but she has a busy life at home while I am tied up in London and lots of friends. I bet she gets offers.
"Do I feel guilty about cheating on my wife? Yes unquestionably.
"I married too young, without satisfying the sexual curiosity that lies within almost all of us.
"I Imagine I will grow out of this phase in time, but at present I am having too much fun to want to stop."
