'I saw the love' - Joe Willock asked the question Newcastle and Arsenal fans want answered

Joe Willock admits he would 'love to continue playing' for Newcastle United after being blown away by the 'love' shown to him by supporters and the family feel of the club.

Arsenal agreed to loan Willock to Newcastle until the end of the season so that the midfielder could get some minutes under his belt in the Premier League.

After scoring on his debut against Southampton last month, Willock has started every game since for the Magpies and the 21-year-old has given Steve Bruce something different with his ability to take the team up the pitch.

Although Willock has, obviously, not been able to play in front of Newcastle supporters since his move, the Londoner has been inundated with positive messages from fans on his social media accounts.

So could Willock end up staying at St James' Park if Newcastle stay up? As part of Newcastle's Zoom army feature, which invites questions from supporters, Willock was asked by Adam Buxton if he liked playing for Newcastle and if he would like to stay for next season and beyond.

"I love playing for Newcastle," he said. "When I first came here, I was a bit apprehensive of how I would take it because I've never left Arsenal.

"I've been at Arsenal since I was four-and-a-half so coming to a new club, coming up north to Newcastle, was a bit scary but as I came here and I settled in and I saw the love from the fans that I've been receiving and everyone is such a family here so of course I would love to continue playing here and I love Newcastle in this moment in time."
