'I regret having three kids - I wish I could've done something more with my life'

A mum-of-three has revealed she frequently wishes she never had any kids at all, confessing she'd "thrown her life away" at such a young age.

The mum claims she didn't actually want kids when she was younger, but by the time she was 15 she'd given birth to her first child, with her second coming along when she was 19.

"I have three kids and quite frequently wish I had none. I never wanted kids and knew I wanted more from my life than dirty diapers and minivans," she vented on Reddit.

"I was okay with the first two but the third really made me question everything again."

The mum, who had her youngest child when she was 24, says simply raising kids is not what she wants to be doing and now fears she's lost the chance to ever do anything else.

"This is not what I want to be doing with my life. I had my kids at such a young age that I don't stand a chance at doing anything significant with my life other than saying, 'hey I raised 3 more humans.' You're welcome. What an accomplishment," she wrote.

However, the mum was quickly inundated with supportive comments pointing out that by having kids so young it means she'll still be young enough to do things once all her children are adults.

"Your kids will all be grown by the time you're 42. That is amazing," one Reddit user commented, adding: "There will be plenty of time in your life to do whatever you want and you'll still be young enough to do it."

Another agreed: "You'll be young when your kids are out of the house. You have your whole life ahead of you," while a third added: "It is possible to do significant things with your life even when certain obstacles come your way."
