"I refused to give up my train seat to stranger - then another passenger asked me to move"

A train passenger has been praised for refusing to give up his seat to an 'audacious' stranger. Sharing his experience on TikTok, @mr_boris_becker asked someone to move from the spot he had paid for.

But the fellow passenger challenged him, telling the man there were lots of other places available and pointed down the train.

The viral video then panned across the packed carriage, and the man repeated that he would like to sit in his pre-booked seat.

Another woman then asks why he can't sit somewhere else, and again he repeats that he would like the place he had booked. The woman eventually stands up and says: "I give you your place."

Dozens of people replied to the video, with most agreeing the man did the right thing. One person wrote: "Here's an idea if you're travelling with a friend and want to sit together, purchase the tickets together."

Another said: "Why are they upset? Excuse me? Ladies?", a third wrote: "This happens all too often, entitled people thinking rules don't apply to them, then have the audacity to moan when confronted."

Someone else pointed out that if he did sit in another seat, he could have been asked to move later on. They wrote: "Not them guilting him! And what happens when he chooses to sit in another spot? Now he's in someone else's place."
