I still find it hard to get my head around the revamped major championship golf calendar - it's hard to believe we're half way through following Scottie Scheffler's victory at the second major of 2025. Normally, given the unpredictable nature of Irish weather, my golf season is only beginning to ramp up at this time of year. However, with McIlroy's victory at The Masters critically diagnosing me with the golf bug and beautiful weather in recent weeks to compliment it, I've been on the golf course almost every day in the past month.
This means I've been going through a lot of clothes and thus need a bit of a refresh to my wardrobe to compliment what I hope will continue to be a busy summer of the links.
Our friends at PGA TOUR Superstore might just be the best place for apparel purchases, with hundreds of slick polos, hats and more on the sale rack. I therefore challenged myself to build an outfit solely from the sale section, targeting around that 50% off mark for each item. Additionally I have sought to find products that have plenty of sizes available because then it is clearly a good deal, and not just a case of the retailer trying to get rid of stock.
