'I paid £730 for my dream hairstyle - but clumps started to fall out days later'

A woman who says she paid £730 ($1,000) for her dream hair extensions was devastated when her hair began falling out in chunks a few days later.

TikTok user Lara, from the US, said that immediately after attending her expensive appointment she knew something was off, as her hair was matted and felt messy.

Then, four days later, she claims her hair began to fall out in clumps - as her stylist had used rubber bands to give Lara extensions.

She shared pictures of the terrible hairstyle on social media and said "I hate my hair so much, I don't even know what to do."

On TikTok, where she uploads as @titatots, Lara said: "I hate my hair so much, I'm so mad. This lady charged me $1,000 for this s**t in my hair.

"Literal chunks are coming out. In four days the entire thing fell out. She charged me $1,000 for this, she won't even respond to my text where I asked for a refund. I don't even know what to do."

After sharing her video online, Lara was inundated with comments from people who had questions about why she didn't complain at the time.

One asked: "What did it look like when she did it, because if it didn’t look good you shouldn’t have paid! Keep on it that’s a lot of money!"

And Lara replied: "I could tell it wasn’t like how I normally do it but since it was styled it looked fine. It wasn’t until I washed it and noticed all of it."

Other users were in shock and suggested Lara should get legal help.

One said: "Sue her in small claims court - get a lawyer."

Then a second wrote: "I’d tell the world who/where so nobody else has to go through this."

And a third added: "Girl, what a horror. The price was definitely a red flag. Human hair extensions are expensive. Her work isn’t even worth 1 cent though."
