'I nearly died having lip filler removed - they were bursting after allergic reaction'

An influencer says she found herself in a very dangerous situation after suffering an allergic reaction while having her lip fillers removed.

Cartier Bugatti, whose real name is Kristina Vishnivetskaya, was left looking as though she'd been stung by a bee following complications with the procedure.

The tattooed 23-year-old had hoped to have her lip size reduced, but instead found her lips and cheeks swelling to more than twice their usual size.

According to reports, the mum-of-one ended up having an allergic reaction after being administered Longidaza - an immunomodulatory medication that has anti-inflammatory properties - and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Kristina, who is originally from the city of Samara in the Volga region of Russia, told her social media followers that quick-thinking medics helped stop her from developing a serious case of Quincke's edema, a type of swelling that affects the deeper layers of a person's skin.

Quincke's edema can lead to a person's throat swelling up, resulting in difficulties with their breathing, and can be life-threatening in some instances.

Moscow-based Kristina. who has more than 117,000 followers on Instagram, shared pictures of her alarmingly swollen lips, revealing just how severe her condition could have become.

She's now said to be out of danger (Newsflash)

Thankfully, it's understood that Kristina is now out of danger, however, she was initially kept under observation in hospital for several days. She's since been discharged and is now said to be back home with her husband and son.

Kristina had opted for the procedure after finding that lumps had formed in her lips but didn't know at the time that she was allergic to Longidaza. It's believed the cosmetologist who treated her hadn't been authorised to carry out lip reductions.

Reflecting on her ordeal, Kristina told her followers: "Certainly, if I had known about the allergy, I would have continued living without doing anything, I suppose."
