A woman has retold the story of how her husband 'ghosted' her as soon as they had a €31,000 wedding.
Isabelle Glastonbury, 31, fell head over heels for an American man after meeting in 2015, and they made the choice to move to her home country of Australia after they promised to marry one another, The Mirror reports.
The couple tied the knot in a €31,000 wedding ceremony – however the fairytale ended abruptly, when he suddenly disappeared.

After marking her husband's visa approval with a dinner together, Isabelle stated that when she came home, most of his stuff was gone.
She told Daily Mail Australia that she was unable log in to their online immigration account, and found he had maxed out her credit cards. He also blocked her on his phone, and all of their friends.
She stated: “All of our mutual friends, the best man from our wedding and his own family, no one knew where he was."
Her family had even given thousands towards his visa application. They were gobsmacked when the immigration authority offered little help after reporting the man.
In hindsight, Isabelle admits that there were some red flags in the final few months together, such as him disappearing or coming home late some nights.
The former couple eventually met up in 2021, where he said he "had to be single." She found out he has since remarried, and she has also too.
Isabelle warned: "Don’t be blind, because I’m sure I could have seen the signs before this happened and I just ignored it.
"You never really know who you’re sleeping next to."
