'I'm upset, alright!' What happened at the end of Wales v France as match ends in chaos

Wales' Six Nations defeat to France ended with a chaotic melee at the final whistle after Dan Biggar was shoved to the floor amid tense scenes.

It all started after Nick Tompkins was penalised for holding on as Wales rolled the dice one last time in the dying embers of the match. Safe to say, it wasn't a decision they agreed with.

As France prepared to kick the ball out from the resulting penalty to claim a 27-23 victory, Wales' No. 10 Biggar could be seen arguing with French captain Charles Ollivon while gesturing to his head, as some French players started their celebrations early.

And just seconds later, with 80 minutes and 26 seconds on the clock, the ball was indeed kicked into touch to bring the game to an end.

But that wasn't the end of the on-field action.

Biggar had tried to charge down the ball as the kick was taken and then appeared to shove an opposition player himself. French players then moved in, with Biggar tossed to the floor.

While coaches in the French box could be seen congratulating each other, a huge confrontation erupted on the pitch with almost every player becoming involved in the scuffle.

Referee Matthew Carley could be heard saying: "Take your players away", while TV cameras panned to a stern-looking Wales boss Wayne Pivac watching on from the coaches' box as the unsavoury scenes unfolded.

Even several minutes after the scuffle broke out, while other players were shaking hands and eventually congratulating each other on the pitch, Tompkins could be heard remonstrating with an unimpressed Virimi Vakatawa, saying: "Look, I'm upset, alright."
