'I'm sure Man United will take him' - Arsenal fans split on rumours of Mesut Ozil loan

Arsenal are said to be keen on loaning out star Mesut Ozil in January, even if they have to subsidise his £350,000-per-week wages.

The Mirror state that the Gunners would rather send the German star out on loan for the rest of the season and pay a portion of his wages than pay his entire pay packet and not have him feature on a regular basis.

Unai Emery has struggled to find a place for Ozil in the team, preferring Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a duo in attack.

Arsenal were said to be ready to allow the 30-year-old to leave in the last transfer window, but Ozil preferred to stay in London. The only side who were said to have shown a real interest in signing him were Fenerbahce, but the Turkish side were priced out of a move.

But the news that the club will consider allowing the star playmaker to leave on a short-term deal this season has split the fanbase.

Ozil was named as one of Emery's five-man leadership team this week, and some are confused about why they would have made the decision in the first place.

Take a look at the reaction from the fans below.
